Calendar inputs

The site is static. Tool inputs are intended to be processed in your browser, without sending a plan to a server. Only use an available tool's controls; tools labelled as being prepared do not yet create or save a plan.

Saved plans and deletion

Where a tool offers saving, browser storage keeps the plan on that browser and device. It is not an online backup and does not automatically sync to another device.

Use that tool's delete control to remove its saved data. Clearing site data in your browser can also remove saved plans and preferences. Browser settings or private browsing may prevent saving.

Sharing is your choice. A share link contains the permitted settings needed to recreate a plan. Anyone with the link can read those settings.

The planned implementation places settings in the URL fragment, after the # character, so they are not included in the page request to the host. They can still appear in browser history or in the service you use to send the link. Check the contents before sharing.

Downloads and printed copies

Downloading, printing or importing a calendar creates another copy under your control. Deleting a saved plan from RotationCal does not delete an exported file, a printed copy or an event imported into a calendar app.

If you use another app to store or share an exported calendar, its own privacy terms apply.

Cookies and analytics

Analytics are optional and nothing is loaded until you choose Allow analytics. If you allow them, the site uses Google Analytics cookies to count visits and see which pages and calendars are used. Your choice, and a marker that you have used a tool before, are kept in this browser.

Google Analytics never receives your calendar inputs, your share links or the names of files you download. You can change your mind at any time with Cookie preferences at the bottom of every page.

Hosting and privacy questions

A published static website still receives normal page requests through its host. The host may process information such as an IP address and requested page. Hosting details must be confirmed by the owner before this policy is approved.

Questions about data should go to the owner's published contact address. Avoid sending your full calendar or private family information.
